Orthodontic implants

Orthodontic implants and zygomatic plates

Orthodontic implants, also known as temporary anchorage devices (TADs) or mini-implants, are small titanium screws that are used in orthodontic treatment to provide additional anchorage or support.

These implants are typically placed in the bone of the jaw to help orthodontic appliances, such as braces, exert precise forces on teeth to achieve desired tooth movements.

Orthodontic implants are temporary in nature and are usually removed after the completion of orthodontic treatment. They play a valuable role in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of orthodontic procedures.
